We deploy our optical networks with GePON systems, – a point-to-multipoint Ftth network architecture in which unpowered optical splitters are used to enable a single optical fiber to serve up to 128 customers. A GePON reduces the fiber and central office equipment required compared with point-to-point architecture.

 

Downstream signal coming from the central office is broadcast to each customer premises sharing a fiber. Encryption is used to prevent eavesdropping.
